The story behind the name...

When I was young, I remember my Mom and her 2 best friends sitting at the kitchen table talking or solving the worlds problems as she used to call it ;)  My Mom had the BEST laugh ever!  Mags (my nickname for my Mom) would start off with a quiet giggle, and work her way up to a full body laugh, with her gorgeous blue eyes twinkling and her smile lighting up the room.  Her 2 best friends, Janet & JoAnn were easy  laughers.  All it took for JoAnn to start was a snicker or a giggle and she was gone! lol  You knew she was having a good belly laugh when she started snorting. I especially remember all 3 of them laughing so hard, but also trying to talk at the same time.  What goofs they were to a young 11 yr old girl. I would just shake my head and walk away thinking I hope when I grow up, I'm not as goofy or giggly as those 3.
Well I am now 42 yrs young, and I am darn proud to say I am a dork, who doesn't care if I laugh too loud, or too long.  I now sit at my dining room table with my close girlfriends and "solve all the worlds problems" all under the watchful eye of my 2 children Ty (13) and Hannah (9), who both know that their Mom is a dork and proud of it ;)
In honor of these 3 amazing women who all had a hand in raising me, I decided to go back to a time when I knew life was for living, not just getting by. This is going to be my corner of the world for all of you who want to "solve the worlds problems" in a light-hearted way. 
In honor of my Mom, Margaret Long, and my 2 other Moms (believe me when I say there were more than just the 3) Janet Board and JoAnn Rivers, I thank them for  laughing so hard they couldn't talk, the times when they were so angry they paddled my behind, and  drying away tears from a scrapped knee or broken heart. I love these 3 ladies and I am proud to have known them and am thankful God put them into my life to become the woman I am today.
